Guidelines:
- Each household is limited to 5 small items.
- All smaller items must be contained within a tightly closed plastic trash bag, personal trash container, box, or bundled and tied together (personal containers will not be taken if indicated with a taped note).
- For plastic bags, a 30-pound weight limit applies to each bag.
- Trash bundles cannot exceed 4 feet in length nor weigh more than 30 pounds.
- Personal containers must be smaller than 32 gallons and weigh less than 60 pounds.
NOT Accepted: *
- Large bulky items (e.g., couches, mattresses, or appliances). Schedule these throughout the year by visiting the Bulky Item Pickup webpage »
- Business waste
- Construction & demolition debris
- Electronic Waste », such as rechargeable batteries and computer items
- Household Hazardous Waste » (e.g., mercury-containing items and chemicals)
- Sharp objects (e.g., broken glass and syringes)
- Tires (bring these to the Ada County Landfill »)
- Tube TVs
* Please remember that rechargeable batteries can cause fires. These batteries can become damaged when compacted in the collection trash trucks and damaged batteries cause fires.
