Crisis Intervention Resources

The Meridian Police Department’s Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) is comprised of two police officers, Ashley Horvath and Michael Panter, and a licensed mental health clinician, Sam Luque, who co-respond to calls for service involving individuals who may be suffering from mental health crises. When CIT responds to these calls, the focus is placed on coordinating with available mental health resources in the community to assist the individual rather than placing them in the justice system. In addition, CIT regularly collaborates with other local law enforcement agencies and community mental health providers to ensure community members receive available resources.
