The Meridian Del Drake Senior Wood Bat League is for men 60 years and older who are interested in playing softball in a wood bat league.

Winter Practices are currently at Tully Park

Open Practices - April through September 10:00 a.m., to October through March 11:00 a.m., weather permitting. Every Tuesday and Thursday's until league starts. Please note that practice begins when 6 or 8 players arrives, which is often prior to the times listed above. These practices are not organized or sanctioned by the City of Meridian and are drop-in style practices.

Registration Process and Fees

To register for a league; complete a current registration waiver form, and pay player fee, prior to the registration deadline. Must be 60 years old by December 31, 2025.

 

Player fees

Player fee per league. Current fees as of 11/2023.

  • Monday Night - $75
  • Tuesday Morning - $75
  • Thursday Morning - $75

*After the deadline space may still be available, please call the office about open spots to join the league and pricing.

Senior Softball League start in 2025 will be officiated by volunteer umpires.

2025 League

  • Registration Deadline: Wednesday, March 12th, 2025 (After the deadline call about open spots in the league.)
  • Regular Season: Week of April 14th
  • End of Season Tournament: After the completion of regular season games to be held on a Saturday

Ways to Register

To register first complete the current registration and waiver form. Once, paperwork is completed follow the below steps to complete the secure your spot in league.

  • Phone-In - Call 208-888-3579 and pay over the phone with a credit card after emailing in both the completed registration waiver form to recreation@meridiancity.org (highly recommended and preferred)
  • Online - Email in your registration form to recreation@meridiancity.org then go online to pay. 
  • Walk-In - Come into our office during business hours at 33 E. Broadway Ave., Suite 206 with completed registration waiver form and pay in person with cash, check, or credit card. 
  • Mail-In - Mail your completed registration waiver form with payment to 33 E. Broadway Ave., Suite 206, Meridian, ID 83642. (Must be received by the deadline and have available spots in the league.)

Must be received by the deadline and still have available spots open. *Sponsorship payments must be in by the deadline with current completed registration form, and player fees.

League Format

2025 Draft Leagues

  • Monday Night - AI/Computer Draft
  • Tuesday Morning - Committee Draft
  • Thursday Morning - Manager Draft

Senior Softball League start in 2025 will be officiated by volunteer umpires.

Game play days

Games are played:

  • Monday nights at Discovery Park
    • First game starts about 5 p.m.
  • Tuesday Morning at Settlers Park
    • First game starts at 9 a.m.
  • Thursday Mornings at Settlers Park
    • First game starts at 9 a.m.

League Formats

  • League: ~20 regular season games (weather permitting) (Starts the week of April 15th - end of September) Championship games playoff end of September/beginning of October on a Saturday.
  • Senior Softball League start in 2025 will be officiated by volunteer umpires.
