MERIDIAN – The City of Meridian Public Works Department is excited to invite the community to the 15th annual Public Works Week Expo on Thursday, May 22, from 4 pm – 7 pm, at Meridian City Hall. This popular, free, family-friendly event is intended to elevate the community’s understanding of the importance of public works infrastructure, operations, and the employees behind it all.
This year's theme, set by the American Public Works Association, "People, Purpose, Presence," highlights Public Works Professionals’ motivations to serve the Meridian community every day. Expo offers a glimpse into what these professionals do to keep water flowing where and when you need it through fun and interactive experiences for all ages.
“Our amazing Public Works staff will showcase the important work they do in the community at this family-focused event. We love bringing out our large equipment and technical experts to give our residents a behind-the-scenes look at the essential services we provide,” said Public Works Director Laurelei McVey.
Public Works Week Expo is a family-friendly event that is both fun and informative for residents of all ages. With outdoor and indoor live demonstrations, kid-friendly interactive displays, large equipment exhibits, food, and more, it's fun for the whole family.
